Jascar Assist Prestigious Theatre Production Company
Impressed by seeing Jascar’s staff in action whilst delivering flooring for a venue’s stage the Ballet Central contacted Jascar to enquire about their service for an up and coming production in Cambridge.
Ballet Central regularly needs to arrange logistics to send stage equipment, props, costume and sound equipment to the various venues that form their annual tour and have had mixed experiences of carriers. Due to the nature of their consignments careful carriage, time flexibility and customer service is key for the assured transport of their equipment. Understanding Jascar’s customer focused nature and experience with transportation of exhibition and stage equipment Jascar were contracted to assist for their Nutcracker performance dates at Cambridge last month.
Using a long wheel based van; Barry from Jascar had been liaising with Ballet Central and went to pick up the varied consignment from their storage in London on Tuesday afternoon. Delivery to the ADC Theatre in Cambridge was completed the following day specifically for 9am to be ready for the stage to be set up with performances starting on the Thursday. The 9 performances over the 3 day period were well received and all were completely sold out. Barry returned to the theatre on Sunday after the stage had been disassembled to carefully load up and deliver back to Ballet Central storage the following day.
Ballet Central is the touring company of Central School of Ballet. Ballet Central’s annual tour which takes place from March to July each year, gives audiences across the country the chance to see the company’s young and dynamic dancers who are on the cusp of their professional careers, showcasing newly-commissioned works and celebrated masterpieces by the dance industry’s top choreographers. Jascar look forward to assisting with their transportation needs throughout the 2019 tour.
